The answer to this will vary depending on the company. Some internship programs are designed for only full-time students to participate because the internship requires a 40 hour work week and takes place only during the summer. The full-time students are the primary target for this because they will also be seeking jobs following graduation and this is the most direct route to an offer.
However, there are companies that offer co-horts, or part-time internships that would allow you gain experience and exposure with the company outside of the typical 8-12 week summer intensive. To find out if a company has this option, reach out to their capmus recruitment office (or someone you know in the company).
If they do have a part-time internship/cohort option, be sure to ask about structure, future job prospects, project work, etc. at the appropriate time. This will give you a fuller picture of the potential experience.
