Volunteer and internship opportunities are usually available in the fields of child development and social welfare. However, if you want to start in your own community, volunteer and entry level opportunities are usually available at your local school district, disability agencies, veteran service agencies, and homeless shelters to name a few. Though the volunteer or entry level roles are more on-the-ground type of roles, behavioral sciences rely on field time or field practice. Of course, if you are already in a behavioral science degree or certification program you know that education formation in this field is a requirement too. Check out and visit your local County Workforce Development Department and find out from a job-placement representative more information on what agencies offer behavioral science or analysis opportunities in your community.
