I applied for a job and it says that I applied to the position successfully. It also says that the job posting is no longer available for adding or removing interest. What does that mean exactly?

This could mean a couple of things depending on the system being utilized. Typically, if you are going in to modify or change your application after applying and it doesn't allow you to do so, it means that you're either being considered further, or have been disqualified for the role. It could also simply mean that they've taken the job down and are no longer accepting new applications.

Hi! Typically if a position is closed out you will be unable to edit your submission for that particular requisition. I suggest checking on the career site and searching for additional positions that have been posted that match your skill set as sometimes there are multiple postings for similar roles. Also at times, positions are temporarily put on hold due to business reasons or if changes need to be made to the posting so always check back the next day.

I wanted to first thank you for your interest with our company!  When you receive a message saying that that job posting is no longer available for adding/removing interest it means that the position has been filled or cancelled.  Please continue to look on our job board and apply for positions that interest you.  If qualified, a recruiter will reach out to you regarding an interview.
Thanks again!

Many times a job is posted for a specified amount of time and then either taken down due either to the time frame or simply the volume of candidates to review.  The good news is that you applied in time and can be considered.  Be mindful that you may have quite a lot of competition but that only means you may be working with a good group of individuals if you get the job.
Good Luck!
